    Emergency... stripped allen

    Alright so came home... going to replace my flex in my MG and I pop in my little allen wrench... on the first turn I stip the screw. Now how the heck do I get the screw out?!?!?

    Drill or easy out. Rethread and put a new screw in.

      Try a SAE allen if its metric or vise versa.Or try to cramm the next size larger allen in it.Hope you arent using the little "L" shaped wrenches.Those are notorious for stripping screws.Or do this:use the size the set screw is made for,but hold it at an angle to get it to bite and work slowly.Worked for me once.Try an easy out if you can find one small enough.

            Also if you have a stripped allen head, you can use a torx tip driver and tap it in the stripped allen head.

                I use the dynamite ones with the red handles, make sure the tips are replace able

                  Same here.Got em at LHS for around $20 for a 3 piece set.Also,the Dubro round head allen drivers are nice too.

                          Stainless steel 6-32 thread grub screw, 1/8" long. These can be used for some of the OSE straight couplers we sell. Measure your current screw length and thread size for best fit.
