Search cogging in the search menu.

    Maybe try changing the timing.

Water does not bother brushless motors at all, sounds like you started to delaminate the magnets due to the heat, what brand of motor and what hull ?? The extreme motor heat is the clue

I meant the speed controller, not the motor. If the speed controller got wet it most definitely can cause that problem.

              check your motor--ESC plugs
              still soldered ( no heat damage ) ? ?
              Any incorrect connection causes resistance.
any phase fire error can cause cogging and heating.

I agree to check all the plugs, resolder. I've received some esc's back with connectors that were cold soldered and caused faulty esc symptoms. Once I resolded the connectors, they ran fine.

well i played around with it today and found that i changed the timming to low and went to a harder start......and work better with no cogging , cause it would cog right from start up with out being run i can't see it being from heat cause it ran less then 98 on the esc and motor and it's fegerio 2382 with 40x52 3 blade with a 240 swordfish . and it only got hot once it started cogging , and i got some new heat shrink for the cause the other shunk when it got hot cogging.

i found that i need a prop for this set up better then grimracer or atleast bigger
