IMO a motor this large requires a 8mm shaft.
1527 1.5d or 1717?

Interesting... I've been running the Genesis w/Hydra 240 and 1527 on 6s... The 1527 does have an 8mm shaft... but not that it matters, it's coupled to an 078 wire...
I've decided to stick with the 1527... It has a history of proven performance... and it's 40mm which just happens to be the right size for my motor mounts. =)
I'll keep watch to see how the 1717 does.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

Stick with the Neu - Steve neu has the runs on the board - his motors are the Best around
There are many others - Rember - You get what you pay for!!!!!!

Not true when you consider the price of the Castle motors. If Neu is willing to have his name affiliated with these motors, that is saying something. I've been running these motors flawlessly for a while now. Veryy efficient, and powerful.Comment

Well, I sold the 1527, mostly because mudl asked and I'm sure he's going to do something fantastic with it.
So... I'm waiting for OSE's 1717 cooling can's.

Who thinks a CC 1717 on 5s and 6s would rock this hull?
