I was using the custom V cutoff and it would not go lower then 4.0v
I'll look a little better but there aren't many options there...
worth a shot though...

I tried it again, and read what each setting was for... they say that the 4v cutoff is for Nixx of 6 or less, but it still does not work... will try one more thing...

Ok, so I fully charged the 1s pack and set the LVC to 4.0v (minimum), the Hydra 120 arms and works the motor... here's the catch, a fully charged LiPo cell is 4.2v and it has a bit of a discharge before you can actually plug it in, longer story made short, one will not have more then 0.2v
to run before the LVC kicks in and spoils the fun. The Hydras do not allow, less then 2s for that particular reason...

It sounds good Tyler, but I believe it is only rated to 100amps and I need about double+ of that...
=(
damn SAW events, always make me buy the higher end stuff

I'm working on getting M-2 to allow it for SAW/2-Lap only. The voltage rule never got updated when we switched to LiPo. On purpose I suppose, but I'm working on correcting it.
For M-2 you have to run a brushed motor, how do you figure you are going to pump more than 100 amps through a brushed motor?
Besides, many of the brushless controls can be run as a brushed set-up by connecting all three phases of the controller to the ground and then connecting the positive motor terminal to the battery directly. Similar to the brushed Novak controllers of days past.

To be frank, this seems a little backwards unless the entire set of rules are deifned for M-2.
I see there is no capacity limit or hull length restriction either.
I guess if Jan was crazy enough (OK check there) he could strap a 9000kv motor into a 34" hull with 1S4P and assuming he could find a 500a controller he could go ballastic?
