If so : I'm almost 101 % sure you need a floodchamber for flipping on lipos
Gerwin, this is the correct site. Under the MODEL section it states the hull is self righting and under the CELL section it states 6-8 cells nimh and 2-3s lipo. This really doesn't matter to me as my 26 H&M mono has a flood chamber which coincidently, does not work every single time. Thanks for your interest. BG
somebody makes a big tall ugly hatch for the supervee that makes it self righting. Not sure where to get it but I'd be embarassed to run the boat it's so ugly with that thing on there.
Benefit of a floodchamber :
The hull is "stronger" , it adds more structural strenght to the hull.
ENCORE MAN :
It doesn't flip EVERY single time ???????
Strange ! Can tou post a pic of the hull, showing all the holes you've drilled to let the air out ?
Most of the flood chamber boats come with the minimal holes in them. If your boat isn't self righting you need one and or two things. Bigger holes to let the air out, more weight on the chamber side. I have seen people open up big holes in the deck and also add lead weight inside the flood chamber. SOMETIMES, if you have room, you can use a bigger heavier battery on the left side of the boat.
And : the hole in the front, how close is it to the front of the floodchamber ?
If the holes are too far back, you'll keep an airpocket inside the chamber.
