Maiden run today, no GPS. Nice smooth, I guess high 30's. Ran about 7 or 8 minutes, temps came in at 100, motor, batts & ESC. Very smooth low RPM setup. Handles OK, tends to dig the nose in cornering though. Odd for this type of cat. Haven't had a "front splash" while cornering before...

Hope to get some actual run data on it later.

Nice and dry inside, no shaft splatter, no leaks. Although the hatch doesn't stay taped down to the hull since it's so warped... will have to figure out how to bend the fiberglass...

Oh and best of all, the clear coat stuck! No worries about the tape taking the clear coat off. Hat's off to Dupli-Color!

Yeah thats generally how I normally setup boats, BUT, my gas class one cat will lift the nose if you tuck the rudder in a bit. This is with a speedmaster straight non tapered blade... kick it back and it burys the nose.... go figure

I'll give some rudder adjustment a try and see how it goes.

I posted a ton of info on this cat long ago on RC Groups & Universe.

Mine is all orange and i knew it was only single drive before I bought it.

I looked closely at the pictures and saw it was too tight.

Still mine is very well made, very nice orange gel coat, nice and shiney. Nice seams etc...

I posted the review of this hull as you can see on R2hobbies. com.

I think iits an excellent pull, even though its a tight fit for components, no twins...

                Nice sharp flat sponsons.

Does the hatch fit? I can't get mine to stay down. The hatch is straight, the hull is rounded.

Ran well with the x442, time to go with a bigger prop! 42mph and temps all hovering at 100.

Ran for about 5 minutes on two 3s 25c 5000mah packs in series, then I brought it in to check temps. The extra speed took care of the nose splash in the corners. It turns well. A little too well.

There's a little driveline leak... but that's the 4mm cable slightly out of adjustment.

Think I'll try the m445 next.

Fits well enough for a $50 hull....

I'll get a photo of it.. it is so warped that it pulls the tape off the hull. ...with shipping the hull was ~$100. Just a few dollars shy of an EKOS hull with member discount at Tower. (~$120 shipped) Not exactly a bargain IMO.

I'm glad you like yours and it's working well enough for you.

                          44ish w/m445

Going to try a K45 and x447 next. Temps low and good. The motor get's hot post run, but was around 130 when I checked at first. It went up to 140 while sitting...

                          Don't know if I'll get to K51.

PS- if I heat up the hatch and clamp it down, think I can curve it to match the hull?

Just an update, the rudder servo died, so still haven't gotten a full run in, but did get 5 minutes in today at about 44 mph. Still plenty of power left in the cells 4.1v when I put them on charge.

Hope to get a full run in soon. Also have a K48 on the way to try. =)
