The 1.5D is a 4S motor, not a 6S motor. The 1Y is a better choice, but an x642 is a little small for a 40" cat. Depending on the use, a better choice may be a 1527/1Y running an x450 to x455 prop. Speeds around 60 mph with the x455...

Ya, I though 1.5D was a little too hot, maybe 5s max yeh?
No stock for a 1527, it sounds like a better motor for the hull but might have to stick with what is in stock. Do you think 1527/1Y will take a better prop for the boat?
(Genesis is the hull)
Try Jim W at Southriver rc, he stocks Neu motor too. He might have what you need in stock seeing Steve has none in stock at the moment.
Same as Southriver rc, he only has 8mm version. I see 1527 is a HUGE motor.
I wonder if it even fin under the hatch. there is not that much clearance in this hull.
Vasy, the 1527 motor is only 10mm longer than the 1521, all other dimensions are the same. I prefer the 8mm version, you can get a flex hex from 8mm to 0.187" at OSE. You will need the 0.187" cable for this application.

It is not 10 but rather 18mm longer. I'll have to measure the inside.
Will look into making a new flex as that will require changing the stuffing tube.
