That helps me. 2x4S looks good but I prefer having more voltage and less amps.
Looking to HPR 115, many setups are 2x6S but the Genesis hull is smaller.

That confirm that 18,5 Volts for each motor is the right choice.
What do you think about good 1900kV motors with X442 props

    Thank you
    Alfa,

I don't know much about those motors,
But i think the kv is right on the money with the 5 cells.
You will have speeds in the 50 -60 mph bracket.

Remember try to keep it under 10lbs and you will have a fast an reliable cat.

How you going on your other build any more paint work done.
And buy the way , You did a great job on the carbon in the hull.

I' ve got an other option, I use 2x3S serial batteries in my HOTR catamaran.

Can I use 2x3S batteries 5000mAh serial for the 2 combos ESC+motor 1500kV, is this a bad idea, short run time?

      Thanks

          Alfa,

          Yes that will work.

You already know the answer. Fast with very short run times.

              OK ,

I would start with Octura x442 cupped L/R.

They are a very good prop for this size cat.

And they will take you to 60mph + with the right setup.

I' ve found the right NEU motor but not available in OSE store NEU 1512 1.5Y ....

Is it necessary to work with 180A ESC or is a 120A Hobbywing Seaking is enough?

I order a pair of Hobbywing Seaking 180A + program card at HiModel, next month I' ll order a pair of NEU 1512 1,5Y with water jackets at OSE

Any advice about those Neu motors are welcome, is 1850kV a good choice? Do you know if I can use X447 with this setup?

I' m not sure for the motors : TENSHOCK or NEU,
Those motors are very similar: 1850kV for the NEU and 1900kV for the TENSHOCK, same weight 280 grammes (9,9oz), 2000 watts max power for the NEU and 2200 watts for the TENSHOCK, same dimensions for those motors. NEU is a 4 poles and TENSHOCK is a 6 poles motor. Price is the same
I don' t know which one to choose

                        TENSHOCK 2240/8 1900kV

                        NEU 1512 1,5Y 1850kV

I choosed a set of NEU 1512 1,5Y / 1850kV with water cooling jackets from OSE, a pair of Hobbywing Seaking 180A speed controls are on the way.

Steven order NEU Motors, it will take 4-8 weeks. I hope using X447 with the 1850kV motor (5S batteries) ...
