Good choice although a Seaking 180 will work fine. The 1515/1Y is very efficient and doesn't suck the amps like some other motors. Big difference in price too. It is what I am using in my DF33 P Mono with the same motor. I'm running a detongued 642 on my boat as I recall.Mini Cat Racing USA

It all depends on how much prop you want to hang off the back and how heavy the boat is. Your safest best is the 240LV, but is you prop reasonably a 120LV or a Turnigy 180A will probably work fine.Tyler Garrard

I'm running a neu 1515 1.5y on 4S1P, using hydra 240A ESC (not LV or HV). Got all the way up to an x648 prop and motor/esc are cool as a cucumber...

He's running a 1515 1y which is 2200kv and you running a 1515 1.5y which is 1500kv. These two motors have a very different amp draw.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment
