This thing is looking better and better!! Are any of those bids with the stock ESC? That motor looks like it can push the hull pretty well for sport running. With LiPos and a decent prop I bet it could consistantly run low to mid 40s...

If it turns like that with NiMh cells, imagine how the cat will turn with 30% less weight!

Well if the boat showed on the 1st 2 videos is bone stock, this boat is a deal!!! but i need to point out that its only "implied" that its running on 2-7.2v=14.4V Nimh packs, they don`t actually show pics of the setup. Its my guess that boat is been run on 2S on those videos.Don`t get me wrong,,i do like the boat as i mentioned above!!!
About its looks, just change decals and put some paint color here and there and it will look good!!!!,.............
Electric or anyone else getting it!!!,please let us know how it performs whenever you guys get it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Al

I doubt a 30" cat with a 540L motor would go that fast on 7.2v...

As stated in the second video, 60+mph, I'd might as well give up on trying to get my MM to 60 and buy one of these?????

                      Ha, that's 60KM/h!!

A mean machine can go to 60, it's not designed to go that fast (won't run well), but it'll go 60.

                        It runs on 2 x 7.2 Nmih / 7.4 Lipo in series which = 14.4 / 14.8V so it could be possible.

                        Cheers

                            7.2v, no way!!

14.8 is about right for the hull and motor size.

It really suits my budget too, I'm glad I found this thread as before I spend my lousy allowance I get from my "Minister for War, Peace & Finances" I wanted to get some feedback on how it goes.

Although I'm not intending to race competively more just a bunch of mates having fun, I still want something half decent and I know you only get what you pay for.

                              Cheers
