Hi Jason, the Solinger hardware is a available if you want it. I can bring it to the pond next Sunday and you can see if it will fit the hull.

ok well Solinger hardware wont fit its to big. I will have to find something else to use. on a plus side the guy I was buying from said he had a smaller motor in a bigger rigger and was hitting the speeds I want.

I have been looking through all the hardware and this is my first rigger so I am not sure if this will work and if it does can I run a flex drive with it? I want to avoid wire drives to much can go wrong. http://www.etti.com.hk/product_info....products_id=98

when you put it to the hull you can tell getting the rudder servo linkage hooked up was going to be impossible with out some serious mods other than that it looked great

I believe that strut is for a 4mm prop shaft, just a guess because there are no real specs listed.

yeah its 4mm that why I was trying to avoid it if possible I would like to stick with 3/16th or 1/4. I was looking at speedmaster and from looking at the hull of the demon I think I need to go with a short strut with long brackets. Normaly on a rigger I could use short brackets but the hull has that funky channel for the driveline that sticks out farther than the transom.

looking at buying this strut SPDS-010-250MR 1/4" Strut XTD assembly, MONO, Round bottom $29.95
its a speed master strut 8th one down on this page http://www.rossisales.com/transomstrut.html

or this one its the 5th one down SPDS-008-250MF 1/4" MONO, Flat bottom Assembly, LONG Bracket $25.50

I wish he listed the dimensions of the parts it would make it easier to sort it out looks like the mini rudder with the long bracket would be what I want that or the 21 mono rudder SPDR-001-M MONO .21 Rudder assembly

                        I'd stick with a 3/16 prop shaft

ok that works since my mono is a 3.16 what do you think about using the long brackets do to the odd hull shape?

trying to build 3 boats at once gets to be a pain but I am getting it done. I made a turn fin bracket for the demon and polished it up tonight.

heres the same bracket installed on a boat
