I'm planning on running two CC/Neu 2200Kv motors powered by two Turnigy 180a ESC's on 4s in a 41" hull. Slightly under powered, so some concern about heat.
As a "Plan B", I've set aside a passive hard drive cooler heatsink. By cutting holes for the caps and the wires, I'll be able to mount the ESC's with the FET's directly mounted to the heatsink. Larger heatsink dissipates more heat. I have some aluminum tubing and thermal epoxy to run through the heatsink (probably 4 tubes across the top)
Plenty of room in the hull as it is a gasser conversion.
Added weight is approx 450 grams. Again, this is a "Plan B", so hopefully won't need it.
Anyone attempted using a larger heatsink before?
