What model will it be in? How many volts will you be using? What amp draw? Racing or sport running? What controller? How long will you be running each time you drop the boat in the water?

All the above will effect what the timing advance should be. Run between 5 and 15 degrees advance depending on the use.

The timing really won't matter then, that is too much voltage for a 9XL for anything but SAW running. You'll be buying a new ESC soon unless you are conservative on props and limit your run time to one minute or less - check temperatures often. Use around 7-10 degrees.

WOW I didn't realize all of those elements effect timing!!!

So what should I set my 540L 2666KV up at?
It is running on 3S in a 35" mono with a X431 prop through a Tactic and a Barracuda 80.
              Just sport running.....
