That would be quite a project! I think the cowl design on the pickle, the UL-1, and some of Randy's boats are the best. Simple, flat designs that tape easily.
What I'd really like is a slightly larger Vacupickle. That would be the bomb. Maybe I'll shoot Phil an email and see what he says!Comment

The servo is in the left rear corner, if you guys want ill take pics tonight of inside the hull,,, the center cover has tabs on it so it hooks down nice and then some quick and easy taping, then the actual cowl has a bolt on the rear and anrubberband so super easy and fast....I was going to run the ul-1 motor and a Etti 150 i have but everyone says ill tear something up, just to much power i gess...Comment

That hull can take alot more power than the UL-1 motor can deliver. Although I think UL-1 motor might run a little hot in that hull, that's why I was curious how it ran. Maybe somebody with more knowledge can chime in here. I say run it and let us know how it goes."IT IS BETTER TO REMAIN SILENT AND THOUGHT A FOOL THAN TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT"Comment

Great photos Jerry. Can't understand why it would tear up the UL-1 motor?? As long as your propped correctly and watch temps when testing, I think it would be fine.
Thanks Detox. I've seen that Hull before. It's very nice, but that darn hump! It's a lot smaller than most though, so maybe it wouldn't be that bad.Comment

I guess I'm just one of those " Chumps with a Hump" , but then again, what do I know ?
Maybe I should return the 2009 - 2010 NAMBA P-Sport Hydro 2-Lap record this boat holds
Seriously, taping the "hump" ain't no big dealLast edited by properchopper; 06-11-2010, 02:01 AM.2008 NAMBA P-Mono & P-Offshore Nat'l 2-Lap Record Holder; '15 P-Cat, P-Ltd Cat 2-Lap

Actually, I think the term would be "humperchumper" for you! ha ha!
Great vid. Always impressed with your stuff, especially that Vegas! You inspired me to get another one!
The hump on the new PT stealth hull is definitely smaller than most. I just remember those huge humps on the original UL boats from years back. Definitely a pain. You had to cross tape a certain way to get it to seal.
BTW guys, I'm actually considering putting a VP cowl on now. It's a little smaller, but boy does it make the boat look "slim and mean". Going with a NEU 1515 1Y and Hydra 240. I never used to run my gas vegas with the spoiler, but maybe I'll need it now?? Anyone have any clue?? I know Propper runs with a spoiler.Comment
