I´m having a lot of troubles with the schulze 32 200.
I had similar problems like the ones you have, and i buyed the PC interface (5V SIO) in order to "see" the problem! What is strange is that only amps is downloaded from the speed controller to the pc software "akkusoft" and never exceeds 90 amps, with a scorpion 4035/800 and 10S and octura 1655 cupped prop....Give me a break...90 amps!!?!?!?.... i don´t see voltage, neither RPM, or internal temperature!
When i tried to put the timing in mine lehner 2250/5 in 15º like lenher recommends, the motor would start, but more the 1/6 throttle, it would cut off.....i had to put timing to 3 or 4º...don´t understand this!
Schulze products are having some strange problems, that aren´t being answered....specially for a ESC of 550€ or 650$$ ......
I have 2 top top esc brands.....MGM and YGE....Concerning quality,and assistance....5 stars...Of course this is mine opinion.....
Switching frequency is automatically defined, and mine scorpion motor is heating a lot...the ESC is killing it,thats why i stopped using it....in the YGE 200 HV navy i use 18º timing and 8KHZ switching frequency....with the schulze i have to use 30º timming and don´t know what is the switching frequency.......
Very Best Regards
Gerardo,
There is a trick in the Akkusoft software to import the rest of the data from the esc. i.e. the RPM, Voltage, Internal temp, motor temp, batt temp and individual cell voltages if you are using the BalCab20 cable set-up. I can walk you through this if you need some help.
As for the settings, are you inputing them directly or using the auto settings? I believe the auto settings are really intended for 2 pole in-runner motors like the Lehners. 4-poles and especially outrunners need different settings than the auto ones. I know Castle had to do some major revisions to their software to handle outrunners. Perhaps Schulze has not yet done the same. I'll look through the debug notes and see if anything is mentioned.

Tyler,
Did your boat run any better with the new controller. Whats up.
Video please.
Mark
Hey Mark,
While the Schulze was being reapaired I did run the boat with an 110HV and she screamed on 10S with a X457. I would guess high 60's to low seventies easily based on gas conquests I have seen run. So now that I have the 40.160 fixed I'll head back out to Camarillo for some testing with a camera.
Ride attitude and speed were awesome. I wasn't brave enough to keep her pinned WOT in the turns (i was using a stick radio for the first time in a long time), but she was consistent.
10S will probably only be for 2-lap and pink slip racing, 8S will be more than enough for heat and maybe even offshore racing if I have enough capacity.
For the July race at Legg you should bring your mono out (detunned of course)

Gerardo send me the log files, I'll take a look. I'll send you a PM with my email addy. You'll need to zip the files so the spam filter doesn't delete it automatically.

I´m only inputting the timing, 30º....all the rest is in auomatic mode......
The scorpion motor doesn´t like 16khz switching frequency....it heats(A LOT) the motor and the speed controller, because i t increase the switching losses.....
Very Best Regards, and thanks for the input Tyler...
I am pretty sure the 30 degrees of timing is too much and that is causing the heat. Try using 15 degrees and make sure the RPM limit is at its maximum of 240,000.

Didn´t knew that little secret.. !Thanks for your input, and for the valuable tutor that you created for all of us....
What is strange, is that you have a peaked very low amps with 10S and a NEU 2215 1.5Y, don´t you think it´s strange?
I have the same issue with the scorpion...it peaks 90 amps, and nothing more....I won´t belive that values, since mine eagle tree give me higher amp draws....
My data is bad. This is when I had the blown caps and did not know it. This caused the very low amps because the esc woudl go into LVC when the current jumped without the caps in place.
I don't have any good logged data yet, but now that the caps are fixed, I hope to get out and run soon.

Ok i just got the 5 viso cable for my schulze and downloaded the akkusoft program but i can not get it to see the controler so i can download the data off it or program to update the settings. It shows the cable connected but does not see the controler. help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

terry don't hold me to this, but i think with my castle's you have to power the controller up with a battery pack. might be the same but im not certain
Thanks for the reply Jason, I'm sure he powered it up with a batt. pack.
He just cant get the computer to recognize the ESC?
He thinks he's missing a driver or something as the Schulze web site has the software scattered all over there web site.
(at least thats what I am told?)
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated if you could post them as we would like to run this tomorrow .
