You guys might consider using the SpeedMaster hardware if you are building something 29.5" or larger and for 4S or higher... OSE sells it and it's the best hardware for the money...

    Just my $0.02

In your opinion darin, you like the speedmaster hardware better than the fuller hardware? have you used the fuller hardware? Thanks for the input.

Every boat I have up until my latest (Delta Force 25.5") has Fuller's hardare, and there isn't anything wrong with it... I just like the very precise rudder action of the SpeedMaster stuff, and the VERY precise adjustments available on the stinger strut...

I can and have used both now with equal success...

NOW, that being said, I have NOT tried the latest Fullers stuff, but have seen it in use, and the SpeedMaster stinger still has it beat in my opinion for precision of adjustability and movement... The "Fuller's precision" hardware, as it's called... looks a little "clunky" to me, but seems very robust and does do a good job... I've seen it in action and have no real complaints about it...

I've attached pictures of two of my boats... One with Fuller's "classic" hardware, the other with SpeedMaster... and a pic of Fuller's "precision" hardware, which he just started carrying last season... All three will get the job done... and I have literally THOUSANDS of dollars worth of the first... and now hundreds of dollars worth of the second... Have yet to try the third...

My biggest recommendation would be to pick the one you would like to use on ALL your boats, and stick with it... your "spares" situation will be much easier to manage...

I have Fullers hardware on my mono and I put it on my dads catamaran, but all the rudders on my hydros are speedmaster, I prefer these as my local hobbyshop carries them so replacments are a 10min drive away.

One nice thing I like about the Speedmaster strut is that the propshaft bushing is the full length of the prop stub shaft , keeps slop &vibration to a minimum & is easy to replace. Steven sells the replacement bushings but I've made them myself out of brass tubing.

Thanks guys, I run speed master on my Nomad XL cat, and it's nice stuff.

Just makes me a bit nervous about building...I always get in a hurry and I mess something up. I tore a hole in the last hull I tryed to rig up hardware on!!!!! Maybe this time it's be better lol

But yeah, 99$ for HW and 129$ for the hull is about a "ESC and 700 Motor" cheaper then fuller's...I just have to build it!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Thinking....Thinking....Im gonna make a move quick....Cause I wanna be out for the next race here in michigan! whew hew!!!!!! :-)
