    Stacking thrust bearings?

I'm using a new coupler (flex hex), and it leaves too much room between the motor casing and the back of the coupler for only 1 thrust bearing. Would it be ok to use 2 or 3 "stacked" thrust bearings to fill the gap? Seems like this would be fine but thought I'd check...

I've done up to two of them. You can also cut the shaft a bit.

if you can't properly drill the coupler deeper, cut the shaft then!

JMHO- Make several cuts in very small increments. Make sure you still have enough coupler to reach the drive too.

just be sure and tape and holes shut so the metal dust does not get sucked in from the mags...they are strong!

I'm swapping in a neu 1515 for a feigao 540XL. For my application, the feigao drive shaft is the right size, and the neu shaft is longer. So unless I want to make a bunch of other adjustments, the simpliest path does seem to be to trim the 1515 shaft.... wish me luck...

I'm thinking about using the cutting wheel on a dremel tool. Is that an ok approach?

Some shafts are just too long. Only takes 10 seconds and a file to smooth the burs off and you are set.
