    JAE 21 FE fast setup?

    He guys,
I am wondering if anyone could tell me a fast setup for a JAE 21 FE. I am currently using the UL1 setup. Its pretty fast but i need more. I'm using 5000 40c 4s batteries and a variaty of good props (x445, highly modified oct 2050, 1445, etc). The boat is probably going about 50 plus??? I would like to see 60-70.
Is their a setup for this speed in that boat? Or do i need to go back to nitro? I really don't want to do the later.
Their is allot of you guys out their with allot more knowhow then myself, being new to FE and all.
I don't run in any orgs.. just me and a few guys for fun, and sometimes the occational cace of beer... CANADIAN EH.
Anyway hope to read some ideas, or better yet proven setups.
    Thanks.

    Steve.

Neu 1515 1Y with a 45mm prop should get you in the high 60's, I am getting into the 60's with my Whiplash with that motor and prop so a rigger once setup right will be a rocket.

Will the UL1 setup run on 5s? I know the Supervee setup wasn't rated for it but I am not sure about the UL1 setup.

              Jae fe

I just ran my JAE Fe this weekend I am new to FE but I am nitro/gas addict. This being 1 of my first Fe I am runnig a Feagio 8 turn with a 4000mah 25c pack with a H7 prop no GPS or radar gun but my guess is duoble nickles without any set up. I am running a Strut from Jim who makes the strut for the JAE it keeps speed in turn doesn't miss a beat and no issues with other boats either. Hope this helps Jerry

I would do Turnigy 180 or Etti 150 minimum with the 1515 1Y.

I just got a 180 for my mono and right after I sent the post I realized that sucker might not fit. I just looked at my Etti 150 and it's a little tight getting in and out but it will fit in there. If you use the Etti, one of their cap boards adds some extra insurance. Especially with a 1P set up.

A well tuned P spec system will run in the 60's. My current boat exits the corner @59mph and enters @66mph. Those numbers are from a radar gun. The setup is a raptor with ul-1 motor/CC Hydra 120/ 4S 5K FP 30C cells. Prop is an H-10 cupped to 3.9". No need to spend a ton of money to go that speed.

A 1515/1Y will be capable of turning a LOT of prop on a rigger. I'd figure on an octura 1650 with some work done. Speeds in excess of 70mph should be very doable. I don't know if the JAE will like the big prop. I know my raptor takes some really careful setup with anything over 47mm and it will still bite you if you get slow and jump on the throttle.

The big motor is the easy way to get in the 60's, but not the only way.

Im using a non-ajustable strut that i got from Zippkits. therefore their isn't allot of setup changes. The boat is built dead strait and true, as a tool maker i am very anal about this sort of thing. The prop would be about the only changes i could make. I have a few to choose from and have become quite good at working them for what i want... but this has always been for .21 size nitro riggers, i can get nitro over 70.
Im sure that prop performance wouldent differ a much between nitro and FE...Would it???
I have never used an H series prop befor, but this seems to be quite popular in the FE world.
Maby i will give one or two a try.
                        Thanks for the info guys.

                        Steve.

                          Steve,
That 1515 should turn any prop a .21 will turn. The power down low will let you run props that won't come on pipe with the nitro motor. The H props are just personal favorites, there are lots of options.

                            Hello Steve,
If you use my set up you can see the video on the forum I run my JAE 79mph, will try to reach 80
Leopard 3674 3270kv with long cooling jacket + Turnigy Marine 180amp with extra caps + EZ power lipos 6200mah 50c + H4 prop, will require a 3/16 flex

The lipos must be top quality at least 6000mah 50C or they will burst, it happned to me with 5000mah40C
