yeah i did the controler setup but i think i found out what my mistake is. i attached two deans connectors one to each one of sets of wires. i'll resolder in a while and let you know if that's the problem

I have no idea how you soldered the Deans - did you solder one connector to the two positive wires and one to the two negatives? Or did you solder them to the motor wires?

What was the Kv of the other motor you tried? Were the two packs connected in series or parallel?

I'd like to know how you "did the controller setup"? Did you reprogram any settings? What is the voltage cutoff setting? Did you hold the throttle to full reverse/stop when acquiring the transmitter?

Please write more clearly if you want us to help - we can't read minds and we can't help if you confuse us. Thanks.

here is a picture to help. i soldered the connectors to use two batteries with out using a y harness. i did the caliberation so the esc can learn the full throttle, neutral, and full break when it is first recieving transmission... is this the problem? i haven't programmed it any further than this. i don't know what the voltage cuttoff is.

i believe thats wrong. the two black wires go to one negative post andt the two red wires go to the positve post. thats part of the 240amp rating, doubled wires, it's not for two connectors

if your used to cars, boat motors turn very low rmps in comparison, car motors usually spin twice as fast

that controller is only rated for 20 cells. doesn't anyone read the instructions

skidooguymxz550 may be on to something.
Have you run the boat in the water yet? I would start there. I have hear something like this from a couple of customers. Than they put it in the water a realize it wasn't that slow after all.

no problem, were here to help. next time read the instructions, i know it's not manly but ya gotta do it.

that would have fixed your wiring problem and you would have known you can't use 28 cells in series with that esc
