Hydro hooking in turns

Doby I've been waiting for you to toss one over the fence. Thanks for not disappointing me.

Rex when we did the hardware build we were using a 700, OSE mount, and 12 round cells. Things did move a bit with Phil's motor mount, brushless motors, UL-1 fin, and LiPos.

It's a Smock racing IROC model. It ran great when I got it but some how I must screwed it up.

I just guessing here, but I imagine if you weren't afraid of him spanking you, you would have already helped him get this boat nailed down.

(grumble mutterdidn'texactlyanswerthe question) just clarify things for this sometimes slow on the uptake boater... Where should the cg be? so I know how much lead I need to remove(good thing I didn't use epoxy).

It has more to due with cg and the shape of the turn fin than the rudder.

Post some pics of your setup.

I have heard this in the past, one of my hydros was hooking all the time and no matter what cg or turn fin I tried nothing would help until I swapped to a slightly longer and wider rudder blade problem solved.

Well we all got out to the pond tonight and I relocated the batteries closer to the motor to get a balance point just behind the sponsons and....

not that I doubted Mr. Smock.....
