      Hi Robert,
Certainly check the turn fin but my money is on the CG. The CG should be right where the web of the sponsons meet the hull. Just a little too far forward and they will hook every time.

The bottom of the turnfin should be parallel with the ride attitude.

      Hope this helps,
      Doug

I gathered that after I paid attention to where you guys are at...it's cool.

          re: the CG
I'll go check where mine is at in a bit, but I know I have pretty much zero room for adjustment.
I actually run batteries all the way forward and an air dam or it blows over in the slightest wind. Now it sticks and is mighty quick and stable, but for the occasional spin...
Thanks for chiming in Mr. Smock! good info.

The web of the sponsons? Not sure what you mean. Is there another description that might help me?

Doby I've been waiting for you to toss one over the fence. Thanks for not disappointing me.

Rex when we did the hardware build we were using a 700, OSE mount, and 12 round cells. Things did move a bit with Phil's motor mount, brushless motors, UL-1 fin, and LiPos.

OK. I just checked the fin and, although it is a different one than in the pictures on the Vac-U-Pickle site, I think it is where it is supposed to be.

I mounted the batteries and checked the CG and it is forward of the spot that you point out. I guess when I first got it, I placed the batteries closer to the motor. Lately, they have been placed almost at the front of the boat. I thought the weight up front would help and make it less likely to blow over

Thanks Doug and thanks to all who have tried to be helpful.

Hopefully I can try her out tomorrow night and I will bring the batteries in closer to the motor to get that balance point.
