Blackjack motor and prop for LSH

I was wondering if anyone has tried the blackjack motor and a M645 on a LSH with any success? Can it handle this much prop on 4s 5000mah?

I plan to start with a x642 first.

I had it stock and x642 is max you can go. It runs just on the edge of stock ESC.

Yes and it works great, It can can handle a lot more prop the the UL-1 motor, I run my LSH on an X442 It seems to let the motor really wind out.

I'll be using an ETTI 150 opto ESC with mine. Any idea on amps with the m645?

I think you would be happier using the UL-1 combo. What hull are you using?

It is the setup I had planned to use in my Whip for LSH. I was concerned that the UL-1 motor would have a hard time pushing a 7lbs sport hydro around the course.

Check out this UL-1 powered White Whiplash. Whip is faster but he lost because of bad driving.

Hay i was at that race lol. And if i remeber the driver of the whip was near blind in 1 eye that day. Because of eye surgery. Both are good runing boats

The BJ26 motor will handle a LOT more prop than the UL-1. The mistake most people make is to run too large a prop on the UL-1 motor and too small a prop on the BJ26. With a 150 amp ESC you should be able to handle the x645 with ease on a large hydro. While a UL-1 will work on a large heavy boat, the BJ is a better choice if you are willing to experiment with props. Note: blade area is your friend for higher efficiency and speeds. With some boats a detongued 1650 isn't too much....

That's what I was hoping. My m645 will be here this week and I should be able to start testing next week.

From my experience the stock M645 is a poor performer when compaired to ABC's H series and S series props.

Really? I've never experimented with any ABC props.

My castings are smaller than advertised. My S-15 actually measures 44.16MM. That's 5mm smaller than advertised measurement of 49mm.

That is strange. I wonder why their measurements are so far off.
