I think you would be happier using the UL-1 combo. What hull are you using?
It is the setup I had planned to use in my Whip for LSH. I was concerned that the UL-1 motor would have a hard time pushing a 7lbs sport hydro around the course.
Hay i was at that race lol. And if i remeber the driver of the whip was near blind in 1 eye that day. Because of eye surgery. Both are good runing boats
The BJ26 motor will handle a LOT more prop than the UL-1. The mistake most people make is to run too large a prop on the UL-1 motor and too small a prop on the BJ26. With a 150 amp ESC you should be able to handle the x645 with ease on a large hydro. While a UL-1 will work on a large heavy boat, the BJ is a better choice if you are willing to experiment with props. Note: blade area is your friend for higher efficiency and speeds. With some boats a detongued 1650 isn't too much....

That's what I was hoping. My m645 will be here this week and I should be able to start testing next week.
