Looks pretty cool... Just make sure it satisfies these:

vi) No boat shall have an afterplane* greater than 60% of the total length of the boat. The afterplane will be measured from the back of the front sponson planing surface to the transom. Note: The afterplane is the entire main hull aft of the sponsons; i.e. the "fuselage".


vii) The width of the transom bottom shall be no less than 65% of the width between the inside edges of the front sponson planing surfaces. An exception to this will apply to scratch build scale designs of full sized boats that are full bodied 3 points hydroplanes but have an afterplane that tapers sharply at the transom. Example: Lauterbach shovelnoses.

PS, thanks for sending the pic of your Wave Jumper build with the small Helo Pad on the back so you can fly one of your many choppers from it. Excellent idea you have to combine FE and electric helocopters. Again, maybe a new race class!

Actually, the Wave Jumper I have is DOA. I cut out the switch, bypassed it, and still nada. Now awaiting further inspiration...

Yes, that would be nice. I know Josh has a 1515 and maybe we can also invite him over and also try it. We can tripple GPS it like Josh and I did before (Garmin, Eagle Tree and my Tiny GPS logger) and really get some accurate readings. I have the High current option on the Eagle Tree units so we can even measure the big amp draw motors.

Have any idea on testing dates?

Joe, it will be at least another month or so before he lays up the first boat. The boat in the picture is still in a ruff state and alot of work is still left to do.

If they do the testing here you are always more than welcome. My only bad weekend is May 14/15 when I will be in a submersible off Catalina Island on a project. Any other dates in May are fine with me............and the lake.
