Here are some pics of the inside and transom of my boat. This is the 700 sc with both batt packs in it. I am waiting for new batt packs so i can see what kind of top speed it can achieve. Let me know what you think. C

Had to have the wife do it. she rocks at this stuff. This is fun but i am thinking of going to a brushless system. I was thinking of putting this motor combo in a 30" hydro and going with a 10xl with 14 cells. I know i will have to reinforce the boat. Will a 10xl do it? Should i go more cells? Diff motor? Let me know what you all think. Thanks C

          Guys
Would this setup work on the ABC cesa 1882 model, I am a total novice to FE and have inherited an old cesa 1882 with no running gear and an uknown motor.
Is there a special way of combining two battery packs to power the motor and do theguys at offshore sell to UK?

          ps
Why have two members of the crew gone headless, my boat is the same

            Guys
Some pics of my boat, can anyone tell what the motor is? and how I could re-use (if possible) the drive unit?

Dude leshi motors are worse than johnsons, as hard as that may be to believe,, on top of that its 18volt nominal and will have a real small wind diameter (not good), not trying to rain on the parade but if your going through the trouble of a conversion go with a good mabuchi motor like the 700sc sold here.

Thanks for the info guys, what about the drive unit, is it worthwhile trying to fix it back onto the model(if so any ideas how I could do it), or should I just bin it and fit new gear?

I have never run a steerable drive, a lot of people say they are high maintenance, you could make it into a fixed unit and add a rudder, or maybe stick it on ebay and buy a better unit. I think i would do the second.

The drive unit seema like it would work fine,I run a steerable drive on one of my boats, the only downside is that you lose power while turning(to much friction)

                          questions

i took the heads off of the boat along with the spoiler. makes it go faster. i kept breaking my u joints on the out drive. thats why i got rid of it. get hold of steve from offshore elect. he can help you out with anything. very knowledgeable. the beauty of the set up like mine is i run it. bring it in, check everything, put new batt packs in it. off i go running it again. C

I would keep that hull and just run a direct drive, strut & rudder. It's very simple to do.

To be honest, I am not sure, I am a total novice at this FE racing game, I was just going to get a normal 6 cell battery pack.
