Depending at what rpm your turning that prop, while its not the most effciently set up it will work.

I have seen these speed controls work just fine on 6s with reliable setups and survive. YOUR set up was to EXTREME for the motor, the weight and prop a 445 on a 10xl is a 4s setup not 6s.
OBVIOUSLY, you guys need to rethink your high voltage low amp set ups before putting a boat in the water, CAUSE YOUR NOT PULLING LOW AMPS!

        With the 11XL a 640 may work well.....................or a 442
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I've seen guys run a 10 xl on hv esc on 8s. x447 prop. I figured the 10xl would bo ok on a 240 lv 6s setup expensive lesson learned. Would the 11xl on120 hv on 6s do the same thing?

This question begs the answer why did you set it up this way to begin with and then pose the question after it went boom. I do note your reply to BakedMopar but I still am at a loss to understand the thread. Do you have an Eagle Tree logger..did you test for temperaturers on initial runs and after how long...was the setup...wet?
The LV CC ESC's can not take 6S and aggresive props.
I would look at a 580L and a high voltage ESC and an EagleTree!

The thread is to see responses to it and see if anyone has had a issue with that type of set up.1st day I had 645 prop on it and it ran fine a little warm like bath tub warm no issues but I did break the prop it was aluminum not berilium . Next day I tried a 445 on it boat seemed to be running the same except I noticed the motor spinning a little faster so I just played w/ boat and then puff the magic dragon. DAMN lesson learned

if you want to run 6s which does have its advantages..consider douggies post with the 580l big can motor or a feiago 12xl-13xl and a seaking 180 amp controller you should be alright...start with and x642 prop and work your way up slowly...check temps/etc..
