Yo Jesse, wasn't talking about scale versions of gas boats - I get that (sort of) but putting a fake air scoop on a boat designed for FE just bucks wind and slows things down. And it looks out of place to me. On sound, I was once asked why my FE Jet drive boat was so loud if it was electric, and I told the bystander that I used a cheap coupler. He didn't get it. But the damn Taiwanese offcenter coupler vibrated things so much it actually was loud. Reminded me of a gas boat.

Im with Jesse. Im all about scale, whether it functions or not. I will take the .1mph difference for the look. As for RTR FE, if you dont like the look of something on the boat, change it. I didnt like that ... whatever the heck it is exhaust bump thing.... on the back of the BJ26, so I removed it and made it flat. Its all about personal preference.... I like detail, ie Scotts (Skunk Works) 32" cat... Detail is most sweet! Scoops, Naca ducts... detail around the windshield... And yes.. UPS .... Wanna do something interesting? Get a small box. Fill it w/ wadded up paper, spend the 10 bux and ship it to yourself. It took 3 days to come back to me and the box was beat to
. A waist of money, but proved a point to a friend. Oh, and USPS, I received it in less than 24 hrs and it looked just as it did when I shipped it.. and cost 1/3 the price.
And, and not that I have had issues where I live now, but did where I lived before running a AQ Hammer EP... and we know how "loud" those are, Anyway, people who bitc.. complain about you running your boat somewhere. And it really erks me when they yell at a kid. SO, its okay for a kid to go hide out in an alley and O.D. on whatever, but god for bid a person try to have some inocent harmless fun. ... poofy looking scale boats gripe me and the euro looking hulls with rounded corners.fake air scoops.
i like the practical sharp geometrical lines of the mean machine,has that wide flat look all business no crap hanging of it.
