    Bby hooters tunnel spec opc

Mornin' gents, I woke up this morning with a sense of pride in a hull that I'm not sure all you tunnel junkies are aware is available and runnin' GOOD.

This fast little hull has made a podium finish at every major race entered. It was top qualifier at the Roger Hooks Grand prix classic valentine's weekend, and has more great runs to come.

The boat runs well with the bullet drive unit.

Is she stepped sir? Yes she is.. Does she come in ABS or carbon? Yes sir she does!

All machine work on the lower unit was done by Randy Naylor

      2 questions:

1.) Is that a Novak HV motor? If so, WHY??

      2.) Maxamps? really?

Otherwise the hull looks great! Would love to see it run and more pics!!!!
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

Will-you better be making the Az race! I've already reserved your pit table and location, and let all the "finer establishments" within a 20 mi radius know that you're coming.

LoL.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peod7Xo2wv0 That's a pretty good reason along with the numerous world records the Novak HV holds Maxamps batteries are holders of world records, national, and regional titles. I do understand that some of the earlier Maxamps packs had issues in boats when it comes to high current apps, but be assured that our new XL series packs are STRONG performers! http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-9000XL-74-Pack.htm

Specifically with OPC's, we keep seeing a much better mix hulls running. The first year we ran OPC, it was mostly TS-2's. Now, VS-1's, Woostuff, Cobra, Lynx and some Dan Proulx special will be running...and it would be a hoot to have a BBY Hooters running, too.

              Keep working on it, Will!

It is something I dreamed up and Wilmer ran with it. Have you ever heard of trianglezation? wish I could spell.

yep i am a metal fabricator so triangulation is a big part of my trade
i was thinking its for out rite speed runs, prop set back to act like a longer hull.
isnt the hinge pin suppose to be inside the rear of the sponsors ?
not being a smart ass, realise you know a lot more than me about tunnels, just curious to learn more

                          triangulation thank you spell check

Good eye tunnel man, and thanx Randy for explaining it. I was having issues setting the hull up, its WAY too fast and I tried everything to settle it. The rental agreement on my lower leg was up so I had to install the bullet drive recommended by Buass.

For some reason Randy had machined a standoff pivot that was attatched to it and I started staring at the setup.. I realized "hey, this may be the sweetest move"

Bolted her on, charged up a pack, and took first place first heat dropped in the water. The boat ended up top qualifier and second overall with ZERO adjustments..
