I have done that to a neighbor complaining about noise though. For some reason they stopped complaining after that.

And before you ask, yes the cops showed up, but by that time the boat was back in the garage and I acted like I didn't know what they were talking about. I then popped a cold one and LMAO...

Huh ,Here in the U.S. Everytime we loose our rights its a direct result of someones antisocial passive-aggresive behavior much like what Drag Boat Bob boasted about but in a larger degree that leads to those loses no matter how large or small. JMHO.

Ya you did, The hole post strkes a sore spot, we lost a pond last year from something similar, not a great pond but a place to run that is now posted and enforced fishing only. Perhaps if it was handled better we would not have lost it. I have come to try and work things out calmly as everyone may loose in the end. I had a neighbor and freind who had an alcohol Drag car that he would fire up quite often and was at odds with some of his neighbors over the noise he took the same approach as you did, even do burnouts in "HIS DRIVEWAY" he won a few times but in the end he lost Big Time, they all filed lawsuits 1 by 1 he spent so much time and money in court and away from his job he was fired and pretty much lost everything even though he only lost 2 of 28 lawsuits.

every year my boss sends a letter to city council regarding "crotch rockets" to ban them from Pueblo. when I asked him why he sends those types of letters, he told me " I do not like the sound of them and the fact that they are made in Japan, (he owns a Harley with loud pipes) and they cause gang problems" My response: well Harley's have also spawned "biker gangs" and a lot of people don't like the sound of Harley's maybe they should write letters and get your bike banned as well.
Well this did nothing to redirect him on his agenda, he now makes it a point to show me every time he sends a letter. SOME PEOPLE JUST NEED TO WIELD THE BIG STICK AT ALL TIMES. so far his mission has failed every year........... SO FAR. the sad part is he also claims he is the "BIGGEST GEAR HEAD ON THE PLANET"

But the rights thing works both ways, for our rights to be respected we should respect the rights of others and not rudely attack them when they express them. I know a lot of people who are just complainers and think only their personal rights matter and thats not the case either. I love most racing and loud, high performance anything, not everyone else does.
