I do, 36" balsa cat, 8s 5000mAh 30C Zippy flightmax, Neu 1521 2.5d, Himodel 4-8s 200A ESC with thermal pad removed from the heatsink which is attached to the FETs with thermal epoxy, I squashed 2 alloy tubes to fit between the 2 larger gaps in the heatsink fins making sure they were still wide enough for decent flow and thermal epoxied them in place, I then put heat shrink over the whole thing leaving plenty sticking past the ends, roughed up the inside of the heatshrink ends with sandpaper and filled the ends of the shrink with electronics grade acid free silicone sealant, when that dries I cut off any excess heatshrink. (I waterproof all my ESCs like that even if they allegedly come waterproofed from the factory like castles for a visible waterproofing that gives me peace of mind and can easily be cut off leaving no hindrance to a repair should it be necessary. Props are a mildly detounged and cupped x642 for racing and a stock x646 for spinting (races for this class boat (supermono) are 5 mins in duration with 10sec mill and in lap), The x646 gives 150A peaks on the eagletree.

Anyone using a programming card for this speedo? I hate using the beep method for programming these guys.

I have yet to see a prog card for her... I have had several of these and also cool and water proof them. My question is has anyone ran these on (8) s. I ask because almost all of my setups are 4's set ups and now i would like to make 8s an option using these controllers if indeed they can handle it.

The caps on these are 37V, so they should do great..

Inspect your ESC before you assume the caps are rated to the full voltage. When the GX 200 first came out myself and others received them with 25 volt caps installed. That limited them to 5S at most. So dont assume. Otherwise your going to get a smoker and you will end up puzzled why the speedo smoked yet you knew you did not have a high amp setup. Its happened.

There are several programmers available from HiModel and was hoping someone found one that worked on the GX200. I have been using them with great success for awhile but I hate moving them around in different hulls to play around with because they are such a pain to program. Its a learning experience every time.

                      Assume!
First off I own 3 of these speed controls and the caps say 37V, and my 100A esc has a 50V cap!

These speed controls will take 6s with ease..
And 8s without over loading the amps on them..

Hes correct, the EARLIER versions had the lesser caps on them. All of mine are the 37v caps. Thanks guys! Just wanted to hear from experience if people were actually running 8s through them.

                              I'm looking for 140mph in a Cap232!
