    Probably the only method available to most of us is what was described - if all else remains exactly the same but changing the ESC causes an issue, then it is probably the ESC rather than the radio. This isn't a 100% reliable test, we'd need to know more about the accident including did the racer try to turn, was BEC involved, were his receiver batteries charged, did the steering servo mount or linkage fail, etc. But with the boat destroyed it is no longer possible to reproduce the problem exactly, so we don't really know. Even the most experienced boaters can have the former issues which may not be related to ESC or radio failure.

    You asked: why dont any boat company make something like that so no more beeps.

    He answered: They do

    His answer is correct, lots of ESC companies make ESC programmers which eliminate the need to program with the transmitter counting motor beeps. You are upset over something which did not happen.
