going to order 2x Neu 1521 1Y because i really want to get this boat built, i can always run 7s if 6s isn't adequate

Like you said, you can always go up a cell from 6 to 7S. And playing around with props will bring you close and maybe a little over your target. But keep a close eye on temps. Don't want to bring out the magic smoke!! With a lower torque motor like the 1Y you can get away swinging a slightly bigger prop to reach speed. Let me fun begin
