    Which 2.4 system ?

I am looking for a reliable 2.4 radio system. I have a tactic with 3 RXs and they work perfectly within about 45 or 50 yards away and then start to shut out with no response then I have to jump in the rescue boat and retrieve it which is getting really old. I spend more time retrieving my boats than running them. Price is not a huge concern I am not looking to blow 500 dollars but I have alot of money into my boats and would hate to lose a boat i have 700 bucks into due to a crappy radio

Amazing you're having trouble with the tactics. I'm running them exclusively in about 12 boats and have never had a problem. Are you using them in carbon fiber hulls? Without an antenna, the receiver isn't going to work very well in a carbon hull.

I also run the Airtronics. They are ROCK SOLID and a bargain right now at $99.95 for a transmitter and receiver. www.hobbypeople.net No need to pay more!

Has anyone tried one of these yet?

I have one in a tunnel but I have very limited time on it (3-4 runs) We ranged checked it on land at about 100 yds and it was good and on water i ran it out 150-175 yds with no problem. I like the programmable features. It looks bulky but is actually quite comfortable to use. I figure for $44 if it didn't work I could put it in a tug boat. Extra receivers are $10 and they do have a single antenna.

You'll go FASTER with a Spektrum DX3S w/ MR3000 RX's... plus have the benfit of having water resistant RXs...

It's also VERY light weight, very ergonomic, and has a very easy to use display and setting screen...

And the recievers don't overheat and put you on the sidelines.

Got me wondering! Bigdg357, are you running them in carbon hulls like Salir asked as I just bought a tactic and pray it will do better than 40 to 50 yards

Funny, I have 12 FASST receivers and not one of them has ever done this. Nor have I ever seen it happen with any of the dozens and dozens of people who run FASST out here.

Spektrum DX3S w/ MR3000 RX. Only had it a couple of weeks but so far I love the combo. No problems.

I've switched all my stuff over to Spektrum. So easy to use my younger son has been using and playing with the programing since he was 10 years old.
