    Thanks very much Eneg
Do you have recommendations as far as primer goes for the auto air paints. I think they have just what I need.
Also I have a bunch of PPG clear I assume that is just fine over the auto air paints?

The PPG will work just fine. Just make sure the autoair is good and dry - you can use a hair dryer to speed up the process. You may need a few coats of the clear as the water based paints tend to have a grainy texture compared to solvent based paints.

As far as the primer goes that depends on the surface it is going on and not the autoair.

The boat is a fiberglass Maus shovelnose and eventually I am going to paint a VS1 also.

Use what ever primer you have on hand. Since there is no chemical adhesion between the primer and auto air you will need to give the surface good scratch to give it a grip.

No - it is a good paint - you just need to understand how it works. You can have hatch tape problems with any paint if it doesn't have the proper preparation.

this is when I ran in to problems it didn't seem to stick as well when I used heat on it. it seem to lost adhesion by doing that. And when spraying it use very very lite coats do not try to cover it in one pass 4-5l lite coats works good!.

the flames on this boat were done with auto air as well as the wind shield. sorry about the bad pic i cant find the usb cable to my good camera
