seems decent enough.. but again, if your club does not allow running them... what's the point!?
    :::::::::::::::. It's NEVER fast enough! .:::::::::::::::

okay i tried the scorpion in my mean machine today
      setup is 4s 1p 30s 5000s and a mystery 200a(non water cooled) esc timing 15 deg
all runs were for 1 minute
props speed temp/motor temp esc at caps
      s215 60-65 klmh 58c (136) 38c (100)
      m642 60-65 klmh 60 (140) 38c
      m545 55-60 klmh 76 (168) 48 c (118)
tried a m440/3 and it looked the fastest yet but didnt get even 1 lap and battries dropped of
going to reset esc make sure timing is rite and try a few more props

Scott, keep testing & let us know what you've found out. For the record, the Scorp I run on my VS-1 [with UL-1 SC] likes the Grim 42x55 which I mildly de-tounged & cupped. I like that prop a lot & will test today on my LSO Titan 29 with an "approved" SV-27 motor.
BTW, your MM in your avatar with the new hatch looks SHARP !!

thanks tony, yestarday was the first time i had run the new hatch and its so easy to tape down compared to the origonal
my testing of the scorpion motor so far leads me to believe it hasnt got as much tourqe as i hoped
have a few modded props to try so will see what happens

YES,YES, THANK YOU ! I've tested the 3026/1900 in 2 boats & while it's a really nicely struck out piece of work [ and looks sooo cool on the back of my VS-1], I'd rather run a UL-1 motor for performance with 4S power. Maybe the Scorp wakes up on 5S or 6S, but on 4S I've found out that it's nothing to be scared of, especially as a spec motor. For the record, the Scorp performs well with the UL-1 speedy, the SC doesn't even get warm.

lol the main reason i tried one of the scorpion motors was the fact they wouldnt let them in p-spec
but i think my assumption is rite, limited to 4s they just dont have the balls to push a decent size prop.
and i agree with you tony i think it would need 5s put at it to get it to show its potential
will try a few more props today and let you know how they go

okay got to do some more testing today
knowing that it wouldnt spin a m545 i thought i would try a x447/3 that i have detounged and cut back a bit
put it in the water and what a diffrence, estemated speed would be in the high 40s easy thats the good news
bad news is i got 50 seconds before it quit
brought it back in and it looks like the wires on the out side of the can shorted out
contacted ARK inovations in melbourne were i got the motor from and there going to check it out, guy on the phone says it sounds like it shorted out, they said if its faulty they will replace it, if its user error then they will give me 50% of a new one
                here is some photos
