wow...thank you all for the input..i am fairly new at this stuff..i have fried two expensive esc's in the beginning...learning the hard way..i have a df 29 copy that just did 61.5 gps on 6s w/feiago 10xl and another turnigy 180 esc..not sure how reliable this will be in the long run though...temps were good on everything except the 10xl 128 degrees....and douggie brutally honest is the only way haha..thanks again

Do not run a Feiago 540 series motor on 6S except for saw applications and you may have a problem with the ESC on 6S and the Neu motor you mention.

ok douggie..guess i will have to bite the bullet on a hydra240hv..i will pull the feiago and swap it to the 1515 1.5y in the df29 copy that i have from the df33 copy i am selling...musical motors here..

Be careful with the CC240 HV. Some have gone poof on plug in and some are rock solid. Its a crapshoot. Im not knocking Castle, I like their products but just stating whats fact.

nothing like playing russian roulette with $450.00..must be castles new "stimulus package" i did fry a lv240 by running a kb45 on 6s but that was total noob ignorance..i am getting better slowly from all the great info here

I would try an ETTI. I do love all of mine, I have a 90A, 4-150's and am planning on a HV200 in the very near future. I have a DF41 copy that I am planning on a 1527 1.5y on 10s2p.

its funny you mentioned the etti..i just got done making fun of it on another thread..i just hated the whole beep programming thats all..it was a quality esc once i figured it out..but of course i fried it with a noob setup....wow a df 41..i will keep my eyes out for that one..what will u be using for an esc? and what are your goals for top end?

Just a suggestion; but if your going to spend that kind of money on a esc you may want to take a look at a Schulze 24/150. Peter and I run out here and seeing first hand the Schulze esc's I will definitely be using this one for my next build with my 1527 1.5d in a 36" hydro on 6s2p.

I am not that familiar with the shulze esc's..i do not even know where to buy them. Fdm sells one or two on the website but nothing serious like you guys use. Thanks a lot for the suggestion..btw your df29 is mental

I would use Icare if you want to buy Schulze. I cant remember the other vendor but I think Peter Zicha knows of another reputable source. These ESC's are the cream of the crop and I do believe they have come down a lot in retail $$$. Even the 40/160 is almost half the price it used to be. If you want a proven, tried and true ESC Schulze is the one but you pay for what you get too!

I am hoping to achieve high 50's low 60's with my setup for the 41" mono. I absolutely love these hulls. I am also wanting to dabble a little a Rico mono or Seaducer mono. They are all quality machines!!!

I will check them out..i guess my final goal it to have a 35"+ mono that hits reliable 60 and still be able to control it...i could not believe how stable my df29 was as 61.5..never dreamed i would reach that speed...that 41 will be a beast..great to have a boat that capable of bigger water so you are not stuck at home when the wind kicks up..thanks again for the pro info

I had a DF29 that reached 71.2 That was the boat I traded for the 41" boat.
