[QUOTE=D.Smock;9884]Got to love that huh??? 36"+ P boat. Where will it stop??

IMO, the proposed 33"max rule for P is on track in the I.M.P.B.A.

OK, I'll highjack it some more for you...

I tend to agree... Interestingly enough... the Nitro guys who where there couldn't stop with the "these boats are too small for the power" comments...

You know EXACTLY how I feel about the length-limits, however... :D

I have a 29.5" Fullers (Delta Force) a great boat. But I recently purchased a Toysport Triton...it is still in the building stage. I wanted to try a self righting hull and with great suggestions from DSMOCK. I am looking forward to running this boat.....power will be either 8XL or 12XL dependant on run format...Speedmaster hardware with DSMOCK mods...OEMRC esc ...X440, X442, X640 or M440, 2 2S1P Thuder Power Extreme in series.

It looks like the Delta is the boat of choice. Thanks :)

They're nice boats... especially for the price! I was suprised at how crisp the edges were and how true it was...

So how clean can they be set up? Do we need turn fins and tabs?

                  Dependant on run mode...sport ...offshore...etc.

Fins and tabs may be required. Some people refer to tabs as a crutch for setting up a boat. Personally, I like them, as I am a poor original set up guy.

It's hard to know which way to go.
I'm having a real hard time giving new people direction.
My buddy John wanted me to build him a 41" Delta for Q or E3. It won't be legal under the proposed rules. So he ordered a No Step 4. , now we find out people are running them in P.
I need to build the gas cat I just bought.

                          Neu... They're "local"...

I'm not sure which one... We've been trying 1515 1Ds, 1515 0.5Y..... I even tried a 1509 1.5D (in my 26" Dark Horse Mono...)... They all are FAST... I think Brian ran a 1515 1.5D with a BIG prop in N2-Offshore and just blasted the record...

I think that some of the other motor combos out there might work well too... the AMMO motor line has some interesting choices...

I think there are lots of combos that would work and be competitive...

Not a bad position to be in actually...

I ran a 1515/0.5y in N2 mono and a 1515/1.5d in N2 os. Somewhere in between those two may be the sweet spot. The boat likes a bigger prop than I've been running for sprints. I'm thinking a 1512/1.5d @3300kV may be in the boat this weekend, we'll see.

I've got a 3300kV Ammo motor coming for testing in N2. Actually, I have several coming for testing in N2 and P boats. Running the 36-50-2200 in P sport and winning on 4S1P got me thinking a bit. I know what motors to run if it's a high dollar build, it's time to figure out the budget setups.

                            I'll keep everyone posted.
