CA works a treat but makes the ABS very brittle, I have found 30min epoxy great as it is very ductile

              BONDENE SOLVENT CEMENT

A specially formulated solvent cement for fast, permanent bonding of most
similar plastics, including Styrene. Quickly bonds ABS to ABS, Styrene to
Styrene, Butyrate to Butyrate and Acrylic to Acrylic. Actually melts the surfaces
together, creating a bond as strong as the surrounding areas. Full coverage
attained by capillary action. Comes with applicator brush in cap.

You need to use a solvent based cement to do the best job. epoxy just sits on top of ABS, it doesn't BOND it. I have been curious to try CA DEBONDER to see how it would work since it contains acetone as the solvent along with a retarder to keep it from evaporating before it has a chance to bond. Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) solvent works the best. It's available at most Ace Hardware stores.

I have been using medium CA and kicker for years...no problems yet. Depends on the lip. I would consider using the goop but only if I can put it on the lip inside prior to joining. The crap is hard to work with and stringy.

I like to use tape first to make sure everything is perfect then tack areas with CA first to hold it. Then I go on around the hull with CA...if I do not have to use kicker then I don't.

I have not used the S-express but if Paul says it works well then I would consider trying it.
