whew, I come home from work and see this thread. wow, Wouldnt be such a bad thread if it wasnt calling poor saleens out. No one deserves that kind of attention.

I'll say this, I havent seen him give bad advice, but then I dont look at every single thread. As a general rule when giving advice I usually will state if I'm not sure about something, however I can think of one time I've given really bad advice and I can think of two times I've been given bad advice which I trusted. Here in lies the key, I trusted it. Hence why I'm still sitting on a SV27 esc that is worthless to me. I would never go and tell that person off because of it, because really it was my fault, I should have looked more before trusting one person I've never met before. If you're reading this, really no biggy it was my bad.

As I have said before to another person on the other forums most of here go to, we all bring a piece of the puzzle to light, it is the combination of all our knowledge that lets us all learn something new almost every day. It is our job to distinguish good advice from bad advice.

Here's a good example, I think it's at the very least funny. A magazine I believe it was Powerboating Magazine did an April fools joke. They had an article stating everyone should drill holes in their propellers to reduce drag. They called them "speed holes" well probably a 100 people actually did it. Later some tried suing but lost......since it was clearly bad advice. I mean come on speed holes :)

Anyway I kind of wish this thread again was more generic, because maybe all of us need to be reminded once and a while to watch what we say and more importantly to watch what we make decisions by.

if im sure about something, i usually say "i think" or "im not quite sure, but" when giving advise or answering a question....

              Flying Scotsman,
It's okay. You can admit it. You were wrong. Be a MAN about it. You were wrong, maybe not by what you said, but DEFINITELY wrong by how you said it (starting this thread)

oh yeah up in the bow, then drill some holes towards the stern to direct the air into bubblers which will decrease the drag coefficient of air and water, provide for central air, increase visibility, lighten the vessel, restore your hairline and filter your hull. Now thats solid.

                                Wow

My take on the subject in GENERAL. No reflection on the furry guy. LOL:D

You will never see me post on any subject that I haven't had first hand experience with. Why would I????
I read the forums to learn from those who have had success in the direction I am going, and to assist those who are going in the direction I have been,( SUCCESSFULLY)"

Choose your information carefully. Just because Joe Blow said it, doesn't make it so. Know who you are listening to, certainly before you adopt what he has said to be fact, and and pass it along.

We are all still learning. From Fluid on down to the new guy that will post a question tomorrow.

                                Just my $1.25.

                                Doug

PS I love you guys.... sniff sniff.:p
