Steven makes a good point. People like he and I are bringing product into the country to try to offer you guys a choice and better pricing. Unfortunately, we often get burned by bad products and we have to eat 'em. I'm sure Steven will, and I know I will, continue to experiment with the market but we get a bit more cautious each time :-)

Good way to go! and in the long run could save some coin..

Save yourself some money and mood, go buy other motors. My 3674 ran well for about 3 minutes and just gone. I've seen 5 of them de-maged in the pond include 36xx's and 45xx's. I luckily drove the slowed down boat back with a full motor jacket of boiling water, two of my less fortunate buddies got their ESC killed due to the huge current flow a de-maged motor(no much difference than a thick shorting wire) causes.

I am not saying these are bad motors, but they are not for heavy duty use like we boaters always do.

If Steven doesn't sell it, then it's probably not worth the money!
If you need to purchase two in order to have one good then go for a Feigao... or pray the Lord when you place your order!

I would probably go for the turnigy motors before those.

If I burn the KEDA / Xpower motor I' ll go for a Lehner or Hacker, not an other chinese motor.
                        Wait and see...

Buy a known problematic item and you unfortunately get what you paid for.

Not all manufacturers are equal. Blaming the problems on all of the Chinese manufacturers is very unfair. Feigao builds a excellent motor for the cost. And they stand behind them with a warranty!

                            I agree, that's not fair!
You take the cheapest as reference, if you can afford a Lehner or a Hacker why do you waist any time with these? Spend the cash now, you won't regret and it'll be a blast, but you will never know what is a good Feigao!
This is all to save $30 and you talk about spending $300 if it fails, I'm not sure to understand the meaning of all this?

There are other good quality Chinese (HK) motors as well, though higher priced than the Feigaos. The Tenshock, Etti, and Hyperion, is there more?

Have a look to Tenshock motors, very high quality, more expensive than KEDA and FEIGAO but cheaper than german motors. May be the good choice.
