Another day yesterday,,,another snapped cable after 4 runs..............................................
Dude... I have NEVER snapped a cable in 2-years of racing P-Spec OPC tunnels... and I'm using a BJ26 motor with tons of torque and over 4" of pitch in the prop...
No one that I can recall in our club has had any issues with their REK lowers either, regarding snapping cables.
SOMETHING has to be wrong with your lower to be causing this to happen... WHERE is the cable breaking? Is it in the same place every time? Can you take some good pictures of it and post them?
A 9XL is quite a bit of power (I think that's what you said you were running), so maybe if this keeps up, you might need to consider upping the lower to a 7.5 unit...???

I have snapped a few with my bj combo, but on sat i raced with a ul-1 motor and a new brand of cable ray fuller gave me and so far its been good, i also used a pipe cleaner to clean out the tube this time. There could have been grit or metal shaving in there
Last week he had a big bulk bag of them, these ones seem good i did not shorten it at all. The rek unit have the most harsh angle on them than any other unit. I was looking at the other setups at the race this weekend.
