POLL: Who here is a member of IMPBA or NAMBA

With all of the discussion about rules and such. I am curious how many of you are members of one organization or another.

I am a member of both IMPBA and NAMBA.

I find its funny how quickly people will criticize the rules, but are not participating by being a member and voteing. Or better yet, being a member and helping to write rules, help develop a club… Yada yada yada… I think you get my point.

THAT's FUNNY! With the CRAP that one has to take during the process of trying to "help" write the rule proposals, etc... YAH, I know I'M PSYCH'D to get involved with that again!!!

It's been SOOOO much fun in the past!!

NAMBA, especially, needs a COMPLETE FE rule overhaul.... I'd LOVE to get this done NOW... Several of us actually have proposals ALREADY written and ready for discussion... But after the ordeals in trying to get the rules implemented the past couple of years (adding Lipos, etc.)... I don't think any of us are really all that thrilled about wading into that hornets nest again...

Agree Darin. I know how you feel. I spent a lot of time and effort working with one of the IMPBA district directors trying to enact some changes. Never again. I don't need the continued 'bashing'.

NAMBA, because it's wide spread in the West Coast.
I would love to get involved in the rule making discussions, but it seems that
it always ends up with the same few guys (not necessarily FE) writing what is "best" for us...
and since I am mostly willing to embark on this by myself, it's a lost cause... for now.

I never made the assumption it was an easy or seamless process to change the rules. Nor am I interested in the "fun" politics of NAMBA or IMPBA.

I am more interested in the percentage of population that actually becomes a member. By being a member you have a VOTE in what happens.

When both organizations learn to play in the nicely sanbox together, maybe I'll join. For now I'll just pay my 10 bucks when I want to race.

Too far away to be of benefit either or myself. Im really trying to get to Seattle to go play with the guys there but weekends are my busy time and the summer you can forget about a day off.

I'm NAMBA [#678]. When I read the candidate's [ for Director] bio's, it seems that Al Waters has a good eye on the FE crowd, as well as his good working relationship with the Grims, who are very openminded about FE. I'm optimistic, although I feel for Darin's frustrations when his best efforts in the past have been not been overly rewarded, to say the least.

                    START OUR OWN FE ORGANIZATION.....period.

                    NAFERO

North American Fast Electric Racing Organization

Then we could have specialty "nitro" and "gas" classes.

That would force the hand of the current groups to face the FE guys.

I am a sport boater so these organisations have no leverage on what I do with my boats. My home insurance covers any mishaps that may happen on my feable attempts at driving. Take the Formula 1 series as an example the rules are changed every year, is this good or bad I do not know, but technology advances demand a look at the rules for those that race

That only works for NAMBA. No such thing in the IMPBA.

Because they are special and only want full paying members???? Makes little sense.

Or again am I missing something???
