I have that same boat. I run a 9XL in mine, 200a SkyWing ESC with ETTI watercooling, X448, and 4S lipos. Insane speed, good temps.

Re water coming into hull, it is probably coming from where drive cable attaches to stinger drive. There is a 5mm slot between stinger drive and boat, where drive cable is visible. Make sure you cover this with generous amount of marine grease. I run mine in salt water regularly, and after running i rinse with fresh water and re-grease this part.

    Enjoy your boat.

    Good luck.
200a SkyWing ESC how is it working for you?
an RC rock crawler lost in a sea of boat parts.........

        Hi guys,
I mounted the new motor on my boat, changed the flex cable and I am ready for my first test again. Only there is one problem...I ordered a Graupner 3217 45mm prop to test it since the old one(43mm bronze, don't know what brand)wasn't in a good condition, and it is longer about 5mm so the tail nut can't lock at the back since I can't move the shaft. Any ideas what prop should I use for this hull? 32"deep Vee, 540 XL 11T, 180A Esc, 3/16 flex cable-shaft.

Also I am turning a ProBoat mini Vee to brushless, I have a Seaking 3600kv moter and 60A Esc and thinking of replacing the stock saft with a .098 flex cable that ends to an 1/8 shaft, any ideas and what prop should I use for this one too?
        thanks for your help...

          32 mono

I am no great expert, but I have allot of boats from scale, to big, medium and n1 mono plus a couple of riggers. I have two 32.5 monos running castle 120 speedos and both run finned air cooled motors. One a 2200 kv mamba monster motor with an x450 prop, and the other with a 2650 mamba monster air cooled motor with a x447 prop. Both scream and finish the race. These are P mono 4s setups. that run well within the desired tempurature range.
