I have a couple of these. The water pickup is really strange. There is a hole going straight through it. The setup would work good on a cat hull I would think.

One thing you can't fault is the quality of the unit. It is top notch.

How silly, showing a single arm unit in your webshop, with the strutt placed
with the front pointing the wrong direction !!!!

I really don't get it, why can someone be so stupid to position the pickup in THAT
          position ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??

Wow, you're right! The strut is on backwards in the photo. Good help is hard to find these days!

I know this company. They are pretty innovative. Not sure about the water pickup either but I'll bet it works good.

It looks impressive and will probably work fine, but BIGTIME overkill IMO. Keep it simple! Less weight! It doesn't need to look like the mars lander!

my comment was a joke, but having another look at it there is 2 sets of holes were the strut gets bolted on but only one set used
so they either designed it to be reversed or they have just slapped bits togethor they had

I have found there are a lot of sport boaters...that don't race...that want techie looking stuff and don't care so much about speed. These would be great for them.

                    You guys crack me up.

I am betting that if you installed this unit correctly and tested against another unit that you use now the speed difference would not be noticeable. In fact according to a hydraulics engineer friend that little pickup might actually increase speed of the boat ??? It could work like exhaust flow into the flow stream that increases the top speed but can negatively effect the hole shot

I do like the adjust ability. being able to change the stance of the rudder distance from the prop. I emailed them and asked what diameter shaft they use and the response was what every you wish. I will have to clarify that.

Good call. It seems most of the product coming from that part of the world are configured for 4mm shafts. If clarification is forthcoming, please reveal the info.
I'll admit that this piece does appeal to the "techie" part of my brain
