Hi Douggie! The best boat i built and still have is my "Slow Poke Boat" It only goes around 50mph but i beat this thing to no end , rivers, salt water waves doesnt matter it never lets me down . Its a 25 inch Hydro , Castle 120 , 4 s and a x442 prop. This boat has never made me fish for it or swim. I built it to take the stress out of me from all the fighting i do with my fast boats. Id like to do a Tug boat next. See.thats how it works, if you dont care you never have problems LOL, go figure!!
PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
H&M 1/8 Miss Bud 73 mph
Chris Craft 16 mph
My favorite so far, was my Delta Force Vortex hydro. ETTI 150 2s2p ammo 2600 and x637. She handled beautifully and really ripped! Easy boat to set up and get running smooth, especially for a hydro!
My Titan 33 with the twin outboards. Because now that it's brushless, it runs like a charm and sounds even better. The motors sing like the real thing.
I have built alot but the very best one is the 31" Wild Thing, my !! yr old daughter has taken ownership and the smile on her face when she runs it is worth all my hydro's and riggers put together!

Probably my favourite boat I have build was my Oval Master 26, with custom flood chamber, def not the fastest, but such a great fun boat!!!
probably was the first running oval master in NZ, got it from OSE (Zero Limits and myself got one each at the same time but mine was running first)
Astro esc, and ss1, wasn't the fastest boat around on 12 cells, on 16 cells it went pretty fast though and NEVER made me swim for it, I used to put it in a backpack and go for a ride on my ZX9R, id stop at a pond, run it and leave on the bike..
I won a lot of races with that boat, rules were changed stop its winning streak. ie moving from the rough water to calm water, putting a dogleg in the back straight making an M course, then eventually banning the use of flood chambers during a race and it still shone through and kicked ass.
This boat was one of the first 700 powered boats in our club. I still have it in the cupboard in my model room.
then eventually banning the use of flood chambers during a race
Sounds like a fun boat. The 700's were fun and easy. What a bunch of crap about the flood chamber. I had one guy bitching that my flood chambers where illegal at a race. But he couldn't find the rule. lol
