Looking for advice on buying a boat

Im looking into getting my first boat and i want to start out with and electric boat possibly brushless but i want a fast one that handles well and is durable. Can anyone help me out in telling which is the fastest and best boat to start with or of a good one to start with. Im lookign for a V or a Cat since im gunna be running it in a lake that can be rough at times.

If you want to build a cat I would suggest a Mean Machine by Aeromarine Laminates. You can buy the bare hull here at OSE store.
    * BBY Lift Master RIgger * Insane Gen 2 Cat * Aeromarine Avenger Pro Twin * Delta Force Cyber Storm * Delta Force 41" Mono * H&M Viper II * H&M Intruder * OSE Raider Hydro * Whiplash 20 * Brushless Mini Rio *

Aquacraft UL-1 is a good quality hydroplane. Great speed and handles well. Better quality than the previously listed models. 40+mph right out of the box with lipo's.

If you want a v-hull go with the SV27, its a pretty tough boat.

i have a supervee and a blackjack. the blackjack with different prop and lipos , is FAST :) and handles chopie water better than my sv:) but the sv is more for giving if its flips, if the bj flips its OVER!!! ITS DONE, now you have to go get the boat.. :) lol

Koozie, I talked my dad into the Fastech and once he got through the initial brushless conversion rough waters he has decided he loves it. of the ones you listed, and chop and you want RTR, I would go this route. At least this one lands wet side down the majority of the time! Great power plant too. Will add more thoughts but have low battery warning so gotta run.

this is an awesome starter rtr at a great price...you can always upgrade later (motor and esc) this will handle much better than a sv27

My son & I just went through these same steps, looking for the best out of the box RTR brushless.
We looked into all the boats you have listed.

We had concluded that for what we were looking for, the SV27 was going to be it.

Then...I got to looking around in the swap shop and found two really decent used hulls.
One had some gear included and the other was pretty much bare.

Found the rest of the parts needed in the swap shop too & now we're good to go with two fairly fast brushless boats that have better/faster gear than a store bought RTR would have for about the same price.

dude the advice I gave you in post #10 is the best cheap rtr boat you can buy if you dont want to set up (build) a boat yourself....run it for awhile and then upgrade the motor and esc at a later date ...they are great rtr boats
