That would be good the info i got so far was from the HPR gallery and what they were using. did buy the hull today so guess i will have to figure it out LOL.
thankx for the help to all.
I am running the TP 5860 650 kv on 10s and it will swing any gas prop on my 45" mono. They make a 5870 now and for that big boat I would go that route because your going to want to swing a big prop. Your going to be dealing with a lot of cavitation on small props trying to get it going. The 5870 will swing a 75mm prop and your going to want that size on that heavy boat.
thanx for the info mark im thinking about doing a quad setup on this boat not shure yet went on the tp site could not get info on 5870 showed no data with 4 motors the 65-69mm props may work?
any input
boat name will be TOTAL INSANITY LOL.
SETUP:5870's 800kv x4 12s2p x4 300amp esc x4 might work in this monster?
I assume you have very very limited experience with large FE boats based on the many questions asked here and in numerous previous threads. No problem there, we all had to start sometime. But seriously, perhaps you should put the HPR on the shelf for a few months and start with a less ambitious build, like a single motor 10S boat in the 40" range. Then finish the 48" twin mono you have before committing on a quad setup. You will thank me later.

yes i understand what you are saying this will be awhile down the road before i really get into it get the hull tomorrow probably need to do some work on that. I have my 48 in. mono twin going 4060 1050kv 8s x450 props only got one run in before we got ice not a full speed run but didn't go to bad. Thanks to help from some of you more experienced guys i am always listening and reading.
Have a lot to learn thats why i ask a lot of questions. and no i haven't done large boats before have had a spartan for a couple years.
Large boats are a little easier to build because of their size but also easier to see and drive. There also more expensive to build. But ask the questions and I will help where I think I can.
I bought the stingers and rudder system with the boat i will start out with twins and maybe eventually go to a quad setup. i run data logging sf esc's in my other boats so i can see the difference when i change set ups. that helps can watch amps on different props and battery setup's defiantly the takeoff is a critical point on amps. so ya this is going to take a while.
thank you for the reply. all help is greatly appreciated.
