I need help to find an equivalent motor to TorQstar2 7040/6 outrunner with 14s lipo and MGM TMM 40063-3 X-2 series ESC. This set up is quite expensive and I would like to find something a bit more buget friendly. I dont know what other options are available. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time !!

Its about 90" long and about 40" wide. The motor/ esc set up I mentioned earlier was from the folks at lehner motors. I just am assuming that there are comparable set ups for a few less dollars. something I can get in the USA as well. Thanks againComment

That size of a boat and "budget friendly" rarely go together.

Yes, budget is relative. A close equivalent outrunner to the Lehner is the Scorpion 7050/340 Kv motor. High quality, high power, about 30-40 percent less costly. But the big Neu 2230/1Y referenced above is a decent choice for less $$$. I do not know why people will recommend a 300 plus ESC for a high voltage boat, it just is NOT needed! The power comes from the voltage, not the amperage. With 14S a 250-300 amp controller is plenty. That's 13,000/15,000 watts, more than enough.
