As Keith Bradley stated a more capable motor I only run neu and lmt motors and good sc with extra caps . Be prepared to drop some coin chasing the 100 mph mark 90 is easy 100 is 100 times harder.
Top Gun 2011, "current problem" 88MPH. Top Gun 2014 "Marine One" 99 MPH. bet speed to date 125 MPH

HMMM....I thought neu en CC motors were manufactured by Skyrc. Keuth how are the Protues motors holding up? I am serious to consider to buy a 910KV version and then play with some props.

I ordered today a Protues 730KV (instead of the 910KV) version to see how the quality is. I let you guys know what my thoughts are about this motor when it arrives.

No, no, no. The Proteus motors are great for the price and have worked quite well for me. SkyRC definitely doesn't manufacture any Neu stuff...if anything they are copies of Neu (I'm not implying they are the same, just that they copied the Steve Neu motor, not the other way around).

The quality is similar to Leopard or TP in my opinion and they are great for the money...I just think for the high speeds you would like to see you might have an easier time spinning the props a bit faster.

Hmmm, Keith: I run many years nitro and gas boats and most engines turn only 20k to 24k rpm on the bench while in the water the prop turns only 9k to 11k rpm in the water. We use on our scale hydroplane a high lifting prop to make the boat fast.

I look forward to seeing what you do with it. I have always run in the upper range of RPMs for speed, never low RPM, so I am interested in what you can do given your experience with low RPM setups.

I'll contact Andy Brown for some cutomized props. Andy is wellknown in the nitro world and helped others to achieve numerous records in his 100mph club.
