55/3 is too much in my opinion. Let us know how it goes though...
I agree, that is a lot of prop. I did run a modified x455/2 on that motor in my SprintCat where it ran great - but it pulled a lot of amps in the hydro. Just use with care until you know it is okay.

Noted. Jay this is the Prop that Richard(Dallas) was running this boat with while racing the Whip 40 I now have. I have set it up with the same motor and batteries and will even duplicate the CG information he gave me before running. I will take your advice and just make a few quick laps to start and then bring it end to see what I got. Do you think the Eagle Tree will hold up do I can get some data to share with eveyone?

None of my Whips liked 3 blade props. Even my 20's. They weren't/aren't quite stock either though.

Great, pretty much what I am going to test except I will use 2p. What were you amps like?

Nothing beats that first time your run a new boat. You just drop it in the water pull the trigger and hope you got it all screwed together correctly. Then there is the issues you will face getting it back if it fails because you are alone at the pond.
Here is the data from my first q-hydro run. The top speed was only 61.8mph because it was starting to take off on the straights so I was letting off on the throttle. I need to put some more weight in the nose and get the COG adjusted forward. It was still accelerating strong when I let off. I think it may have another 5-10mph in it?? Turns on a dime.

Still shaking. Chuckle. This is what I love about these fast boats.
